Another Christmas Carol

Today is yet another christmas carol
my own and a carol from the Trans Siberian Orchestra
The Music Box so I do hope you'll enjoy
my Carols!

The Music Box
Remember last Christmas Eve
When we sat next to our first tree
Ornaments reflected light
Of a candle in the night

And I gave you a music box
Back then that seemed like so much
We watched it go round and round
As the melodies unwound

But all these things are now long gone
And not to be wished upon again

But the musical box continues to turn
The candle in the window continues to burn
But I know they're just memories
Like Christmas past and you and me

Remember that old fireplace
That held the room in warm embrace
And as we watched for Christmas ghosts
The fire held the shadows close

But now upon that Christmas scene
The candle wax of melted dreams
And ornaments of shattered glass
Now belonging to the past

But all these things are now long gone
And not to be wished upon again

But the musical box continues to turn
The candle in the window continues to burn
But I know they're just memories
Like Christmas past and you and me

Such A Sight
This night Christ was born
His palace was a stable
His throne was a manger
And there he was adorned
Such a sight was he
The savior of the world was a baby boy
Just how could this be
How could a baby deliver the world
God was fulfilling his plan even as his fingers curled
Such a sight was he
When the shepherds saw this wonderful sight
They bowed and worshiped it was only right
Later on he was to die to save you and me
Such a sight was he
As years passed the wise men came
They gave gifts of gold frankincense and myrrh
They also worshiped his holy name
Such a sight was he
Several more years past
And we were still so sinful
Christ died on the cross for he was the cure
When he drew his last breath
Was the time when we were counted white and pure
Before life was a blur
Such a sight was he
But that was not the end
for three days later
he raised from the grave
he was the cure and he was the hope of all nations
For Such A Sight Was He!

writing a Carol and for your
poetry Homework I'd like you to
write a Christmas carol too
please submit you Carol on post comment
and I'll choose the winning one and
post it on the blog.

Christmas Time
Christmas time oh Christmas time
I sing a song a Christmas rhyme
Christmas time oh Christmas time
A time when Jesus Christ was born a time when Jesus Christ was born
Oh Christmas time oh Christmas time
Oh Christmas time oh Christmas Time
No silver gold no nothing fine
Not on a throne was he lain but in a manger dull and plain
Christmas time Christmas time
Shepherds  were the first to see no nobles kings or Lords were seen
Christmas time Christmas time
Unto him is for whom I rhyme
Not to a King was he born but by a poor couple was he adorned
Christmas time Christmas time
Sinless still he did no wrong
so comes the end of my song
Christmas Time!

Blizzard

This what we're going to have a lot
of over here. That blizzard is most likely the start
of the winter season oh how I'm dreading shoveling
the driveway.I have a feeling I know how winter
is going to come today listen to my weather girl like prediction
Cloudy with Snow up to four feet be prepared to be snowed in
stock up on shovels and snow apparel but seriously I suppose
winter isn't all bad there's always being stuck inside with loved ones. here's a poem on blizzard.

Blizzards
Snow that showers overhead
Means shoveling the winter bed
Snow that falls in quickly manner
Means being stuck together .

Skies of the color gray
Means inside you must stay
With all could no sun
A fire warm electricity none.

Stay off the roads and in your home
If on the roads all alone
Stay in your car find something warm
Your best chance stay out of the snowstorm.

Now that it's over you may rest
They'll bring the snow plows and clean up best.

A Touching Poem

This Poem was written
by a 10 year old girl in China
Read the story here http://www.carlstam.org/familyheritage/jbstam.html I hope you find it as
beautiful as I did.

I Cannot Live Like Jesus

I cannot live like Jesus
Example though He be
For He was strong and selfless
And I am tied to me.
I cannot live like Jesus
My soul is never free
My will is strong and stubborn
My love is weak and wee.
But I have asked my Jesus
To live His life in me.
I cannot look like Jesus
More beautiful is He
In soul and eye and stature
Than sunrise on the sea.
Behold His warm, His tangible
His dear humanity.
Behold His white perfection
Of purest deity.
Yet Jesus Christ has promised
That we like Him shall be.

Winter Dream

thanks for reading once again
another hopefully poetic post
(I try to be as poetic as I can)
today's post is to kick off a wonderful
winter series of posts to honor today's
special event I am going to ask the question
what's the stickyest winter position you've ever been in?
then you leave a comment telling me you answer shall I begin the poem great let's begin.

Winter Dream
The snow that makes the world aglow
Is falling gently down below
Cheeks so pink with winter chill
Goes perfectly well with the winter still
This is my dream my winter dream.

Snowmen start the season off
Then lying in the snow so soft
then snow ball fight's and sledding games
then giving snow angels names
This is my dream my winter dream.

Back inside so cold with snow
Siting by the fires glow
Drinking coaco chewing candy canes
Thinking about Christmas lit lanes
This is my dream my winter dream.

of the many blessing's which we
have and to thank god for each one of
them no blessing is to small
so count everyone the Big and the little ones
and remember as our God is Big his Love for
Us is equally Big!

Blessings
Oh the blessings we have
Glorious to be had
Thank the Lord for everyone
For he is God the creator and maker!

Thank God for the big things
The little and the small things
Thank God for the good things
the the happy and the sad things.

Joy for the blessings
Give thanks to God
For even the bad things
Can be used for good.

Meg: we don't know why we're rhyming do you
it would be helpful was it something we said was it a who?

Tiger: no we don't know but there's a book
it may tell why it should help to get rid of the rhyming if we look.

Those 3 Guys: there you are where have you been.

Tiger: Well it's a long story but I was wondering
why aren't you rhyming or blundering?

Midnight Maybe there the cure
they are they are I'm sure I'm sure!

the book will tell us how  we can it's just.

Tiger: Just so hard we need to hurry
we need to go without the furry.

When you imagine Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving
Blessings blessings all around
Family Friends a room full of sound
Food Food turkey found
Give Thanks Give Thanks to God.

How have you been? your kids have grown.
Conversations have certainly sewn
The Turkeys roasting as the children drool & moan
Give Thanks to God to God alone.

The pilgrims sailed across the sea
The children act out the play to the family
Laughter as the curtains close and we go to our meal happily
Give Thanks to God give thanks to him.
                                                                              -Poem Girl

Thanksgiving Pies

To place the crust without causing harm.

Whipped Creamy pumpkin pie
Apple Pie is just as good with cinnamon

now it's time to try number one.

Water Lily's

Today I was recalling how beautiful
Water Lily's are and that inspired
today's post so enjoy.

Water Lily's
White little wishes
Floating with honor
Gentle little kisses
Beautiful with each hour

Grace with light
Loved by the pond
Delicate sight
As we bond.

Sunsets love
By the mountainside
Pure white Dove
Faith it replies.

So sorry but I just couldn't resist
to post another day let alone till
Monday So here's another post on
"The Adventure's of Creamy Grey & Midnight".

Pussy cat1:Come one come all
See the scraper 5 feet tall.

Pussy cat2:Come get your steamy hot milk
Or buy some beautiful Soft silk.

Pussy cat3: Stay at the hotel vest
Only a dollar and we don't jest.

Midnight:Oh no it's spread
I wonder how far ahead.

Tiger:Come on let's go
Don't walk so slow
It's almost pitch black
And I don't know my way back.

Creamy Grey:Can we rest
In hotel vest
It's to dark to travel now
I just don't see how.

Tiger:Fine but please don't talk
We don't want to spread more to walk
And don't forget We need some food
I hope the inn keeper isn't in a bad mood.

Cremy Grey:How will we ask
We don't want to make this a harder task
How will we not ryme
At this late time.

Tiger:We'll write on paper
And then give to the care taker
He'll give us a bed
Nothing else to be said.

Midnight:Oh how will we leave I think were lost
How much of our time will this cost
3 days more of rhyming  still
How will we ever finish it seems like were  climbing a hill.

Tiger:Get some sleep
You'll need it tomorrow I guarantee
At least the hill won't seem to steep
Hurry now time isn't free..............

don't forget to check out

Runing Poems-Calvin and Hobbes Special

What a day what a day
you know I've been  thinking
a poem can be great if you make it creative
you don't have to be serious when writing a poem I'm
talking pure funny poems the stuff that makes you smile
I mean The ha ha ha's ya know the guy who writes the Calvin comics can make a poem funny oh yeah I'll include a comic. So here is today's poem.

Running Poems
There goes a poem down the road
Chasing after a bright blue toad
Does it make sense not at all
But a poem can be crazy tall.

Here comes a poem after me
wait a minute what does it see
A dog colored striped pink
Falling into a deep sea sink

there's a poem eating a cake
you can tell it's not a fake
But poems like this can't be for real
because how can a poem talk to a seal.

Poems poems run away
Because someone is here to stay
and to run you outa town
hurry now you have ten minutes to astound.

Wacky quacky doodle do
Have some fun with poems too
Be astounded
It's undouted
That your enjoying this
Yes it's true now you are dismissed.

so here it is.................

Creamy Grey: Hello Hello
It's poem time

Poems here and poems there
Even poems in your hair.

Creamy Grey: Tiger Tiger were on a mission
Will you join our expedition
Were stuck with poems we don't why
I really hope that you aren't shy.

Midnight: Mission 1 is  really easy
It's mission two that makes us queasy
Find Those Three Guys that's mission 1
Get The map and RUN RUN RUN!

Tiger: What's mission 2
What's wrong with you
Your making me contagious too.

Creamy Grey: Oh no we did it
We admit it
Just for now you'll have to live with it.

Midnight: Mission 2 we find the cave
Open book  and then were saved
But before we do that we
Have to swim the evil sea.

Tiger: Okay guess I'm in
So just were do we begin
Rivers start or rivers end
These poems I'd be glad to send.

Where do they start?Will

Weddings

Today Since Fall is here I thought
about how some people have there
weddings in fall the different  colored
leaves the brisk cool air and of all else
The gorgeous fall sunsets! So for today
I'm writing a poem on weddings
I'm deticating todays post to all the
fall brides  of 2010 enjoy.
by the way my poem is several different types of poems techniques.

Fall Weddings
All the colored leaves of fall
Glisten like diamonds in the sun
blowing through the tree's so tall
A single bride walks in her dress so carefully spun.

A Bride so beautiful in her gown
Walks away to to the trees of brown
Also red,orange, and yellow
The world so quiet feeling quite mellow.

The last stream of day the bride walks
to the her getaway with her husband
Goodbye tonight so see you soon.

And ever and ever..............

Oh my Lord I thank you forever
Are relationship with you
Is greater then a million diamonds too
You are the past the present and the future............

The road which we walk on
Is not always easy
The road which we Talk on
Can sometimes be easy...................

Romans 3

Today I'm back on Romans!
with a treat for you all Scott
has graciously sent me a poem
which I am gratefully going
to post on my blog with the request
to still write my own version of
Romans 3.I do Hope you enjoy it.

ROMANS CHAPTER THREEIn Romans Chapter one
We had an indictment begun.
In Romans Chapter Two
We found perfection our necessary due.
Now In Romans Chapter Three
Scripture written long before is quoted to you and to me.

There is None Righteous
No Not One
Nothing to claim my own
To gain acceptance when my life is done.
There is none who does Good
All have sinned
All have fallen short the mark
And so without Christ wait for an Eternity
That will forever be dark.

If None are righteous
No Not one
In my flesh is nothing  SO What can be done?
I must seek something More
Thank God for Righteousness imputed described and declared in Romans Chapter four.
                                                                                                                            -Scott
Romans 3
None are righteous no not one
None are as perfect as the son
Knowing  we are sinful still
Humbles us lets God show his will.

We're covered in numerous charges
We weep for the non understanding
For they do not know him or the right choices.
We pray one day they join the understanding.

I was once a sinner Dead in sins wicked evil too
Then I prayed and prayed and prayed God made my life anew
Thank you to my God who saves no one shines brighter than this sun
Once again  none are righteous no not one thank you to our Gods saving son.

Making Lace.

this is a picture of a woman making
lace this picture was taken at fort Atkinson's
living presentation so was the inspiration  for
this post. Her pattern was very particular  so
I'm not going to teach you how to make the
simpler one I learned make mostly because
it would be easier to show you anyway
I hope you enjoy the poem and other pictures
taken at fort Atkinson.

Making Lace
Lots of strings lots of lace
Started at a very slow pace
Could be silky could be simple
Designs  so frail please be careful.

Lace that's special lace that's fine
Must be careful not to mess up the line
Must always show delicate skill
To make a very graceful frill.

there's a story with this on the soldiers were supposed
to be stealing the table.they were doing some sort of play.

This woman is making butter she uses the fat in cream
to make butter milk.Fun Fact she made the butter with nothing
but whipping  cream.

Monday Poem Suggestion

Today's poem suggestion
is writing on an object
such as a house,alarm clock,
skyscraper,food, or a sailboat
which is the topic of my poem today.
I suppose  you are wondering
why I'm not writing on Romans
it is because every Monday my topic
shall be my Monday Poem Suggestions.
So sit back and enjoy this poem.

Sailboats
A sailboat upon the sea
Floating by may they forever be
Sandy beaches parked up high
Sailing below the light blue sky
Be brave as it heels to one side
Enjoy it as it floats with pride.

Romans 2

Continuing on Romans
today we are in Romans
two I hope you enjoy it.
So with greatest pleasure
here it is.

Romans 2
The law condemns
We are so sinful
It treats us the opposite of a gem
It calls us shameful.

The law is there
Tells us we must do it perfectly
But there is no ability here.

God shows us we need him
There is hope still
The law condemns but we have our hymn
Your apart of Gods will.

Today I'm writing on Romans one
of my readers  has made a suggestion

poems on Romans.I hope you like this series
on Romans 1-4 later I will continue this series
and go through 5-8 I hope my readers find it
amusing and quite interesting so to all my readers here it is.

Romans 1
God  is so wonderful
So we're without excuse
We have no cause to grumble
He shows his love to choose.

Every blade of grass cries out
Every  petal on a flower
How can there be a cause for doubt
He makes the past and future.

Let me make this clear we're without excuse
The final call to let you know what he's all about
You must understand he put us in Golden shoes
Now the poems almost done let us sing and shout.

Fall Festivities

Today since fall is starting up again I thought I'd write about all the things I love most about fall.I don't even mind the cold really. The best part of fall is that is shows how artistic God is look at how beautiful he made all the leaves and the air is full of the smells of fall.before I say a word more I'd better write my poem so I don't say everything there is today about fall I've already said to much.

Fall Festivities
Fall brings fresh breezes
Smells of pumpkins
Tastes of Cheeses
In the end it's my favorite luncheons.
