God's Gifts to us the Undeserving

Dear Readers, Here we are Christmas just around the corner malls are packed with Christmas shoppers making their final rounds wrapping paper sprawled on the floor yes it's that time of year but in the midst of all this let's not forget the real reason for the season the true meaning of why we celebrate.

Gods Gifts to us the Undeserving
He melts our hearts of concrete stone
And give's us an eternal home
He steals away our endless fears
And wipes away all hopeless tears
And in its place he plants hope and joy
So we are no longer sins play toy.
                                   -Poem Girl

Thank you God for the gifts your give to us the undeserving
For our hope in hopeless situations
For our Joy in in the midst of sadness
And for giving us a solid foundation
Thank you Thank you.

The First Snowfall of December

Dear Readers, Christmas is coming and snow is beginning to fall now some of you may know snow as the sludgy brownish white cold think that comes in December and stays until February freezing ice onto the window's of you car in short you may
know snow as the pest that takes forever to go away. Others may know snow as the glorious  beautiful white stuff that you can sled on and form it into things in short one big joy finally the third group the neutral people who both like snow and understand it can sometimes be a pest when you would like it to just sit and look pretty well I think you'll all enjoy this even snow dislikers might like to see hear this.

The First Snowfall of December
The first snowfall of December is quite a sight
The snowflakes that sparkle each one is unique
Created by God perfect complete!

The day after the snow has yet fallen is...
When we hop on our sleds and take of down hills
Flying past tree's and dodging my sisters
In that frosty white winters and those Icy chills
So here we go and what a thrill!

Coming in is no bother at all
Mom makes some hot chocolate
While we have a ball
Talking of  snow fights with a gigantic smile
As I mention A's super great throwing style!

Finally we get to shovel the driveway
Oh what a glorious look it'll have when we're done
and it's almost done now "continue" I say
We're almost finished now grab a shovel and ain't this fun?
The final scoop and it ways a ton!

The first snowfall is the beginning of...
The most heartwarming season
the season that love came down from above
in the shape of a baby to save us all and those are the reason's
Why winter is the most wonderful season!

He Who Is Perfect

Dear Readers, Todays Post is entitled He who is perfect for is there any man or woman perfect or even close to being as perfect as our God.

He who is Perfect
The oceans breath along the shore
Proclaims the name of Christ our Lord
All of Creation cries out his name
And I shall try to do the same.

His love his mercy pours over us
We worship him we feel we must
For he is God both perfect and pure
For our sinful hearts he is the only cure.

So we fall on knee's crying out praises
He truly Loves us he truly Amazes
Our God is incredible their is none like him
For who can shape our hearts to perfection!

Dear Readers, here's a new poem for you called Midnight Serenade I hope you find it as soothing to read as it was to write think of it as a lullaby.

Midnight Serenade
The day is done the night has come
And now we think on what we've done
Throughout the day throughout the week
What did we do to whom did we speak
When we've finished reviewing our days
We think of our faults and our foolish ways
Finally our thoughts turn to tomorrow
What we will do and will their be sorrow
Now as the night drifts slowly on
Our eye's quietly flutter from the day that is gone
And now they do close as the warmth spreads around
And the wind wispers tidings then you don't hear a sound.

A Cottage Home

Dear Reader, Here is another post for you on my view of a cottage  I'd like you my readers to explain what your view of a perfect cottage is.

Cottage Home
A cottage home both quaint and fair
A bed of lilies at it's front and daisies at it's back
Great oaks lie all around heavy with there sap
The house is brick vines are it's ware
A brook flows beside throwing misty spray's
Soft green grass lies over like an ocean
And a pretty wooden seat swings with motion
A glossy path to the cottage leads always
A picket fence encircles the home
Sunflowers sit slap up against the walls
And posies roll like little balls
The cottage made of marble stone

Dear Readers,  Today's post is on the sun but I was hoping that I might get some requests for other natural things like flowers fog rainbows clouds pic a topic then say why I should do it be creative.

 Sun
A touch of the sun apears over the hills
And before you know it the rest of it spills
The colors so brilliant of orange and yellow
So happy such a cheerful fellow
Oh the sun so warm and round
So misty in mornings so perfectly sound
Oh the sun it hangs so proud
And later in the evening he darkens, his head bowed
Goodnight he calls through the breeze
Through the bushes and through the tree's
Goodnight till tomorrows morn
 When a new days born.

A poem on Spring

Dear Readers I love spring it brings new life to the world and so here's a poem on spring.

Spring
We call Spring a spinging  thing
because of what it brings
But though it likes to skip away
and never tries to stay
It comes again another year
and plays and laughs without fear
So goes a lively season
Comes and goes without reason
Spring the happy giving time
And so ends my poem/rhyme

A Poem on Fall

Dear Readers, Another picture taken by my wonderfully talented sister A. Here's a poem on Fall.

 Fall
Leaves that float down from the tree's
While the others turn their colors in the Autumn  breeze
They scent the sky as they touch the frosty morning air
They sing they're sweet song as they paint the world fair
Each leaf is exquisite lovely and unique
and fills each tree with it's own form of chic
Fall of the silky air and sweet smells of winter coming on
They fill the air with the lull of the dawn
And so brings another day with laughter and love
And the droplets that shall again sprinkle down from above.

Poem on The Morningside Youth Trip to New Orleans

Dear Readers, Today I'm posting on a youth trip my sister went on this year I thought I'd share my opinion of it through this poem you can read about the missions trip Here. The photography for this post was done by my amazing photographer sister A.

2011 Missions Trip
They touched the lives of people they knew not
And preached his word and gave them hope to seek
And to the people who were never taught
They spread his word  to a place that was bleak
Hit by the flood their homes gone
My sister she went to show
Her love for him and Grace from him to them upon
And of his death to give us life and his resurection our hope and so
They go to love on him and to teach others to
Serve him his love and his pureness so true.

Meadowlark
Hark Hark the meadows lark
Singing ever sweeter
Hark Hark through our park
She flies ever fleeter
Why Why doth she fly
Above our highest tree
Why Why is she shy
Quicker while she flee
Lo Lo she cannot go slow
Lest the Summer snap
Lo Lo where she go
Faster doth she flap
See See what her colors be
Her breast of bright yellow
See See she lands by me
On a branch looking mellow.

Faithfull To The End

Dear Readers, I hope you'll enjoy this post to the extent I meant it to be. I love my king I hope you have the same feeling as I on this topic he's my king I want to love him even to the death I want faith so strong that I'd be willing to die for the sake of his name. Someday I hope to be a missionary and preach to all who will listen of his holy name.

Faithful to the End
I'll love my king to eternity
I'll fix my eyes on him forever
His grace which is ever abounding
Will I ever leave him I should die
He supports my dead body and gives it life
Without him I'll fall and wither away
My Arms, Hands, legs, my body I give to him
I pray I'll love him to the end of time.

posting another poem about our glorious and gracious king!

My Lord
Grace and Love and Hope and Peace
When Hardship hate and anger cease
When his presence draws me near
He shall take away all fear
His love is ever abounding
And his kindness is always so astounding
He washed my sins and Hate away
And counts it pure his grace will stay
I love my king his heart so clean
He is my creator redeemer king
And still love and kindness ring.

Daisies and Dew Drops

Dear Readers, Here is a poem on Daisies and Dew Drops and Spring These poems are dedicated to a close friend Kristenly.

On the dasies sits crystal clear
A Touch of sun and like a tear
The Dew drops are rather like a mirror
Reflections of the daisy's dear
Oh how they sit and glow
The life it holds as the colors go
Each droplet holds a tiny picture
The droplets of the raindrop dipper
Oh the crystals of the morning
I will never stop my adoring.

Spring oh how I long for you
The Flowers leaves on the tree's and blossoms too
I wish for the warmth you bring
And the song you sing
The light rains and the misty air
And the flowers fair
Oh spring how I long for you.

He Who is Forever Wise

Dear Readers, I hope you'll enjoy this Post Dedicated to Erica a good good friend of mine thanks for all the inspiration you've given me.

He Who is Forever Wise
Rain clouds of the misty gray sky
The drops of the rain certainly don't lie
They tell of the spring to come
When they come they tell no one
but the he who knows is forever wise
he makes the clouds the sun the skies
I love he who is
The creator savior we are his
He who is soon to be revealed
My lips will open no longer sealed
why should they be I love him so
He is the one I'm glad to know
The wells will be opened no longer dry
Because of my savior God Lord most High!

Stars and Sun

Dear Readers, here is two more poems on
the beauty all around us I do hope you'll enjoy.

Stars
The Stars that twinkle like diamonds in the light
Are twinkling there in the middle of  night
Like precious gems they sit and shine
Like the sun they'll never be mine.

They are the candles in the sky
in the daytime they are very shy
but at night they bravely appear
Showing absolutely no fear.

God gave these beauties to us
and thus
we can enjoy them
Thank you God for skies gems.
                                      -Poem Girl

this poem is a free verse it does not rhyme but it still has rhythm

Sun
As she sits in the sky
She shines and she'll never die
in the summer she burns
in the winter she fades
but she stays bright all day long
she sleeps at night
but still she creeps back up in the day
She shows Gods glory
who created us and her.

Drops of Rain

Dear Readers,  This poem shows the glory and splendor of the magnificent gifts God has given us this one in particular is on the topic of rain drops. They inspire me.
Just look all around you and you will see how beautiful God has made everything to shout his name. Enjoy.

Drops of rain
On  the windowpain
flow down and drip
to the ground
making hardly a sound
Drip drop plip plop
is the song of the rain
rushing down the city drain
they flow with pride and sparkle in the sun
they are the crystals that forever run
they shine the sky in lovely green
they humidify the air and make it clean

Surly God created wonders that fill the air
When he calls them near
He tells us to tell of the wonders that he places there
When he whispers in your ear.

First Sentences

Dear Readers, Today's post is on first sentences
my dad and I recently went to Barnes and Noble
to purchase some books we searched the store for my
favorite topic classics out of these we chose
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn  A Tale of Two Cities
and Pride and Prejudice  while there we got to talking about
first sentences first sentences are usually very good and here
are a few in particular "It is a truth universally acknowledged
that a single man in possession of a great fortune must be in want
of a wife" that was from Pride and Prejudice "It was the best of times it was the worst of times" that was from A Tale of Two Cities.
We also talked about how we should practice fist Sentences putting them into our own words several times each time do it differently practicing this will help to perfect your penmanship and will help your sentences to be the very best they can be (Example....It is a truth universally acknowledged that a man with very few possessions must be in want of a rich wife..... as you can see it's similar with a slight twist if you read A Tale of Two Cites you will see that Charles Dickens changes his sentence a very many times but he keeps them all in his book that is a very good example of what you should do with a good sentence take a famous sentence and change it put your own words in it so that it sounds familiar yet it's different this will help your writing.

is coming up to make this an extra special
day I''s like all my married readers to enjoy
this post because it's written just for you and

Love & Life
It can start many different ways
Then it goes to dinner and such
Then a ring comes into the picture
Then marriage I do he or she says
Then maybe children much
Then grandchildren looking into the future.
Always remember the moment when you said I do
We have Valentines day to say those three little words

A Poem of Rest

Dear Readers, here is a poem
that just may rock you to sleep
so please sit back and enjoy.

Resting sleepily breathing softly
A long day is over
Time is come to rest
My eyes are shut tight mostly.
Now is time to crawl to bed
But I have trouble getting down
Out of my soft and cozy chair
I open my mouth as to say but nothing can be said.
When I'm tucked in tight
And the warmth starts to set in
I find I'm half asleep
And all is quiet I shall say goodnight!

A Letter Written by Phillis Wheatley

Dear Readers, today I'm posting
a letter written by Phillis Wheatley
to the Countess of Huntington
if you compare her letter to a letter we would
write nowadays our letters just sound sloppy
sloppy English our letters compared to hers
are like that of a childs isn't that strange because
we have been American citizens since we were young
and she was only here from the time she was eight and so fourth.
Come to thing of it we even try to make it shorter how are you we say
How r u or instead of saying how have things been for you we say how have things been 4 u.I don't know about you but I'm going to try to use proper English from now on not all the time mostly on my blog but I'm not going to shorten my English.

Most noble lady
The Occasion of my addressing your Ladyship will,I hope,
Apologize for this my boldness in my doing it: it is to enclose a few
lines on the decease of your worthy Chaplain, Rev'd Mr.
Whitefield, in the loss of whom I Sincerely sympathize with
your Ladyship; butyour great loss which is his greater gain, will,
I hope, meet with infinite reparation in the presence of God, the
Divine Benefactor whose image you bare by filial imitation.
The Tongues of the learned are insufficient, much less the
pen of an untutor'd African, to paint in lively characters, the ex-
cellencies of this citizen of Zion! I beg an interest to your Lady-
ship's prayers and Am,
                                                                         With great humility
                                                                      your Ladyships most
                                                             Obedient  Humble Servant
                                                                              Phillis Wheatley

poems I think you may find interesting.

Love
Tis love that God gave us
Tis love I'll show
To friends family and to thee
Tis love that makes me joyous.

Tis love that I have for my God

Tis with love that I write poetry
Tis love I shall spread abroad.

A Thing Like That
A breeze that rolls the rushing waves
A breeze that cools in the spring
A breeze that gives the slightest breath
Can power a mighty gust of wind
That shows the power of our God
A God who loves and Saves
A thing like a breeze can be what saves you.

More on Phillis Weatley

Dear Readers, if you enjoyed my
earlier post on Phillis Weatley and
her poems
you'll enjoy this one.

TO THE KING'S MOST EXCELLENT
MAJESTY.

Your subjects hope, dread sire—
The crown upon your brows may flourish long,
And that your arm may in your God be strong!
O may your sceptre num'rous nations sway,
And all with love and readiness obey!
But how shall we the British king reward?
Rule thou in peace, our father and our lord!
Midst the remembrance of thy favors past,
The meanest peasant must admire the last.*
May George, beloved by all the nations round,
Live with heav'n's choicest constant. blessings
crowned!
Great God, direct and guard him from on high,
And from his head let ev'ry evil fly!
And may each clime with equal gladness see
A Monarch's smile can set his subjects free!

A great poet with a story

Dear Readers,  today's post is on poet named Phillis Wheatley
she was the second American Woman to publish a book of poems
and the first well known black American poet she was
kidnapped when she was eight and was sold to a man named
John Wheatley she became a servant to his wife Mrs Weatley
it took her six months to learn to speek english and wrote her first
poem when she was thirteen Mr and Mrs Wheatley encouraged her to
pursue in this and later was taken to England with Mr Weatley there her first poem book was published it was called poems on various subjects religious and moral here is one of her poems from that book.

On Virtue

O, thou bright jewel, in my aim I strive
To comprehend thee ; thine own words declare
Wisdom is higher than a fool can reach,
I cease to wonder, and no more attempt
Thine height t' explore, or fathom thy profound
But, O my soul, sink not into despair,
Virtue is near thee, and with gentle hand
Would now embrace thee, hovers o'er thy head.
Fain would the heaven-born soul with her converse,
Then seek, then court her for her promised bliss.
Auspicious queen, thine heav'nly pinions spread,
And lead celestial Chastity along;
Lo! how her sacred retinue descends,
Arrayed in glory from the orbs above.
Attend me, Virtue, thro' my youthful years!
O, leave me not to the false joys of time!
But guide my steps to endless life and bliss.
Greatness, or Goodness, say what I shall call thee,
To give a higher appelation still,
Teach me a better strain, a nobler lay.
