Meadowlark

Dear Readers, Here's a little poem on the meadowlark the next bird poem after this is strictly up to you place in comments the bird I should write on next I'll be glad to pour out poetry on your ideas.

Meadowlark
Hark Hark the meadows lark
Singing ever sweeter
Hark Hark through our park
She flies ever fleeter
Why Why doth she fly
Above our highest tree
Why Why is she shy
Quicker while she flee
Lo Lo she cannot go slow
Lest the Summer snap
Lo Lo where she go
Faster doth she flap
See See what her colors be
Her breast of bright yellow
See See she lands by me
On a branch looking mellow.

  1. The meadowlark is one of my favorites because of its beautiful song...a genuine sound of summer.

You could write a poem about that ornery flicker that keeps trying to rat-a-tat-tat on our roof! Now that's an aggravating bird!
