Sea of Dreams

Close my eyes

Take a deep breath 

I'm not there 

I can't look yet.

Soon the colors fade and it's just me

my reflection and,

An endless sea .

Blue eyes open,

Staring ahead,

A boat on the shore

Step out of bed.

Feet touch the sand

Tide meets my toes

Secrets on the water

Ever dreamer knows.

Board the vessel 

Close my eyes

Take a deep breath  

Starry skies.

Tilted head

A quiet smile

Pulled out to sea

Float for awhile. 

Dreams sweep around,

The farther I go 

To a distant light

Mornings faint glow.
