Randomness

An Artist's Poem

Unlocking my thoughts,
and drifting through dreams,
a pencil for creativity,
a pen for pulling together seams.

Creating possibilities,
and drawing new plans,
a brush for imagination,
and oils and crayons.

Sketching the skies,
and painting the seas,
these are the tools,
I use to make these.

The Peculiar Place (part 1 The Poem of Beginnings)

I walked outside to get some air
But was surprised by what I didn't see there.

Nowhere was it to be found
It was gone without a sound.

My eyes bore down at where it should have sat
And saw something else very wide and flat.

What to make of it, I could not decide
So I got on my hands and knees near where it lied.

I pressed my face so close ere I was upon it
Pondering why it was here and why my thing was not.

Suddenly it opened up and in surprise I slid  forward falling in
Tumbling deeper and deeper in an uncontrollable spin!

I hit the ground with grunt and pulled myself to my feet
My entrance closed, worry descended on me, can you feel the heat?

Yay Updates!

Nothing can be said now that hasn't been said or written or before and so I’ll try to change the way I approach this particular piece of typed singularity.

BUT let me just say….Hey, how you doing?

Translation: What can I say about not posting in a really long time that other bloggers haven’t already said so I guess I’ll just say something totally unrelated, How are you?

That’s right it’s me, I’m back and hopefully to stay for awhile.

So you guys remember how this Summer all throughout this very day I've been saying that the reason for my not writing has to do with the fact that I've either been busy or been uninspired because of not being able to leave the house very much because of house renovations and stuff. Well I'm happy to say that today we finally finished applying the primer and the first coat of paint to the house! Though we might apply the second coat to the front of the house this year...the rest of the painting should be left until sometime next Spring or Summer....so that means for now we can have a time of rest and somewhat normality :) I'm still happy about all of this upgrading and such I'm just not so ecstatic about all the time it's taken to complete these long do renovations it really felt like we were moving not just fixing up some things... so much more than just painting…um…so yeah we’re done and I can no longer bore you with updates on progress so I’ll just end work updates here and save you the annoyingness of having to deal with more of my rather uneventful Summer…don’t get me wrong we had a lot of great things happening and I’ll love this Summer forever I just well yeah you get the picture.

(the house after painting. It still has some green tape on it but doesn't it look nice)
(picture also by me)

To paint our home, we did endeavor
Though it did seem like forever
We kept hard at it until it was done
Till the completion was won
(poem requested by my dad)

So yesterday after we’d finished we went out to eat and celebrated our completion of the long “Never Ending Adventure” as I called it.
We were happy it was done but….then it started to rain and paint can’t dry when it’s raining we could only hope that the paint had, had enough time to dry before the rain came…and today we found out that we still had more days of endless rain coming...we were worried it would never have a chance to dry if it hadn't had enough time…but then while we were worrying I happened to notice I was a little hungry so I picked up a fortune cookie from the night before that was lying close by, I cracked it open and pulled out the little slip of paper it read, “The job is well done.” If ever there was a time we needed to hear that it was then…and wow I showed mom and she was just all smiles, thanking God for this strange way of letting us know it was okay we didn't have to worry, my stomach was in knots and was just thanking God over and over again sooo happy…cause you know how amazing it feels when you know God’s spoken two you I've only felt that a few times is my life and it’s so special! :D

Now to less amazing topics, you guys who follow The Artistic Writer know I’ve been drawing a lot recently in fact I’ve been doing a back to back series of Challenging with my friend Samantha…who might I add is Awesome!
And as a result I’ve been pumping more and more creativeness into my drawings…yes this distracts from my writings but I hope with time I’ll be able to refuel that little part of my life that’s still running on empty haha yes I’m writing despite a severe case of writers block, I feel like lately my life has been taking a different turn art is becoming more and more my favorite hobby and it’s very distracting though my character creations do help replenish idea’s for my already in progress stories…even so please bare with me I don’t usually have writers block this bad…please help if you can, maybe provide some idea’s or something how do you guys work with this I keep writing but yeah, it isn’t going so well.

Schools been fine but sleeping hasn’t, I stay up waaaaaay to late. I know I need to remedy that and I have been working on it but still if you guys could please pray I would appreciate it a lot, I’m really moody when I don’t get enough sleep and as a result I’m rude to my sisters and parents and I hate it, also it doesn’t help with school. I’m starting to worry about that….I really care about how much I pay attention and learn I want to take things in, I’m going to need to remember these things if I ever want to be a writer or even to just make it through day to day life so please pray for that too, pray that I am a diligent scholar and take in what I learn J right now I’m enjoying it but I want to be able to remember too.

Sooooo thanks for reading J

Short Poem

A Summer Poem
Summer's caught in her eyes,
In her smiles, in her sighs
And everywhere she goes,
She flies.

*Half Smiles*

I am at a loss at this moment I was just sitting here with the computer on my lap thinking, "Okay, so I read all the unread posts in Google Reader I don't have any new emails and my music is still playing...I KNOW I'LL WRITE A BLOG POST!" that just about sums me up since the internet started working again I mean before when it didn't it seemed like I had a million things to do and no time to do them in and now it's my duty to catch up with my blogging again so why doesn't this apply first? Hmm old habits die hard I guess.

Those thoughts were followed up with, "So I'm on blogger what do I write...I KNOW I'LL WRITE ABOUT NOT KNOWING WHAT TO WRITE AND THEN DO POEMS AND UPDATES!"
Don't you guys love how resourceful I am. Okay enough jokes now here's the poem.

Nothing seems to come to mind
So this is what I've got
A poem on confusion
And whatever else plus whatnot?

Isn't it funny how I've made a poem when I can't think
Isn't it funny how that works
I assure you though it's not always like that
It's just sometimes I have those quirks.

Ever have a hard time trying to find a rhyme
For that thing you just wrote
I experience that pretty much always
So I have those thoughts to tote.

That's the poem now the updates...

1. Thanks to a little push from a friend a sister and a little brainstorming there should be a new chapter to Cathrine Weatherbane and even perhaps one for The Traveling Red Umbrella Girl...and I'll get on the others as well if you tell me which ones you're anxious to see more of also I'm thinking on discontinuing a few of the others since I have so many stories that need my attention and yes even I can't take on ten stories at once.

2. I may possibly have a Character Quiz soon but to do that I need to know which book you guys would like to see a quiz for. Let me know in comments.

3. Would you guys like me to illustrate any of my books I could always try.

4. Any questions, reminders or other please let me know in comments.

Thanks for your ever faithful patience.

Art and Poems

Hahaha I am totally having fun drawing this girl...I've drawn at least three pictures of my character here because her features are so fun to draw, her long flowing hair, her big eyes, her confident expressions and her clothes; she's one of the easiest too aww...anyways here's a close up of Revised Marin (unofficial name) you may remember awhile back I had a picture and I said it was for a book my sister was writing, well she gave that book over to me and I've been working all out on illustrations (probably spending to much time on Marin though) in case you can't remember her here's one of the sloppy originals for her character
*note her style and face design were totally altered*

I'll maybe have more of her drawings later, if you guys want to see them let me know in comments.

:D I'm back again!

I was going to do a tag post but I changed my mind since I thought you'd like a different kind of post, like a treat of a post to make up for the lack of posts I've had on here (which was unavoidable I assure you)

So here's three poems with the promise that I'll have more interesting stuff later if the internet is still accessible.

 Sunny Days
My favorite days are sunny days
Because those days are hot
And when they are I'm never cold
 Except when I am not.
~Sarah.P.G

Dream, Dream
Dream, dream little dove
I know that you are tired
You've traveled such a long way
And done what you conspired.
~Sarah.P.G

Pop the Top
I have often popped the top
When my tea boiled over
Mum would Tsk and I would cry
When I burnt the clover.
~Sarah.P.G

Okay that's all please comment and tell me which one you liked best oh, and one more thing, if I had a
"write your own poetry" contest would any of you enter?

Another Poem...but serious this time

You opened my eyes
it was the first time I'd cried
Tears of Joy.

You were the love of my life
The smiles in strife
The Comforter of my soul.

You reached out and you grabbed,
Hold of my dirty undeserving hands
You made me happier
Than ever before.

I could cry
For this love in my heart
Father I could cry,
 "I am yours!"

More Later :D

Um....that's randon

I drempt I'd create
A well loved story
But my dog, she ate
My dreams and my glory

You see she
Didn't like that
It distracted me
And I considered getting a cat

My dog, she ate my homework one day,
And then she chewed my laptop
I can only growl and say
I'd rather have it chewed then not

My dog, she smiles
As if she mocks
And all the whiles
She's stealing my socks

Now this is all in good fun oh,
it's a jest
I've never met a dog quite so
Glutenous and Grotesque
~PG

Sorry random thing...just needed to write something different for a change lol.
See ya.

A Tale to a Song ~ The Lad and the Lass

A minstrel strolls merrily down the dusty path humming a forgotten song, he stops seeing a fellow minstrel a lovely maiden with flowing black hair, she holds a harp in one hand and a flute in the other. She nods recognizing one of the same trade he nods back. They fall into step and chat awhile then they stop having agreed to play a duet she lays down her flute and grasps her harp and the other minstrel in turn pulls out his lute from it place and they begin to sing...

The Lad and the Lass
Once Upon a time long ago
In a land all covered with snow
There lives a lad and a lass
Who were destined to change the past

Years went by and time did pass
Still nothing became of the lad and the lass
Break the rock stop the clock
The Lad and the Lass would change the past

Still more time flew
But change would still come fresh, anew
For in second the clock would halt
And the memories of the present would lock in the valt

The Lad and the Lass were to change the past
In moments soon and the change would last
Though they knew not what they're acts would do
What will happen, the answer is up to you.

The song ends and the maiden minstrel laughs a tinkling laugh. She curtsies to him and he bows politely to her. She asks him what did happen and the lad minstrel whispers in her ear his answer she laughs again and they shake hands and once again part ways.

So what do you think happened?

Randomoldgy - Poems

Pink Roses
I walked into a house of green
My eyes slowly scanned the scene
I sighed finding not
What it was that I had sought.

But looking twice and there it was
A porcelain vase of pink roses
I smiled, my eyes blue and bright
At the gardener who was closest in sight.

She hurried hastily over to me
And asked what it was that I wanted to see
I pointed to the pink roses tidy and neat
And she plucked the ones that were fragrant and sweet.

She  prepared for me a vintage bouquet
And I proclaimed it better than okay
I walked out the door feeling pleasant and fine
Knowing that those pink roses were mine.

Sunsets

The Sunset World
All was quiet as the sun went down
And shadows began to crawl
My eyes went wide at the rugged town
Sunsets light cast upon the wall

All the world was orange and yellow
But mine was a wonder
Spilling out like a chatty fellow
Before it went asunder

The ocean beyond looked like a puddle of light
The sun dipping into it
I beheld this beautiful sight
Sighing almost to a fit

The sun now gone I went back home
To rest my weary eyes
They'd seen a lot likely this roam
To make easy goodbyes

The Doors

The Doors

The Doors to places only in dreams
The only doors it seems
That can take you anywhere
But cannot take you home

 The door where light envelopes
And imagination develops
 The door to other worlds
such as those in books

This door that glows with brillant light
Then when you enter takes you out of sight
The KEY to strange and curious travel
And if you have the actual key well
 I'll leave that for later.

A Poem for a Story I've been working on with Storyteller.

Until Next Time

Something Short = Randomology

Dear Readers, call me lazy...but only in your head please, I  know I'm have a lot of stories and stuff I need to continue on and maybe later today I will but right now I'll just do a short poem to keep you lovely readers interested

A twisty turning colossal catastrophe
Found in the ancient archives of history
Is this a riddle merely me
making up whatever it's supposed to be
Or is it a wacky weird no meaning  poem
Answers I'm sure I owe em'
Here's you answer darling dears
I've no answers for your ears
I haven't really thought this through
But I suppose it's something composed for you
Make of it, whatever you choose
This way you really never loose
It's a long run
But you may find it fun
Just let me know
In comments lo
I hear you I read every one
This is the end and you have won.
 ~Poem Girl

So what'd ya think tell me in comments they're greatly appreciated, share your opinion of this poem.

Until next time

Poems, Oh How I've Missed You

I realized today that I need to write some more poetry before I go bonkers. I never knew how many ideas could ball up in my head during such a short period. It was quite the discovery I assure you.
Now onto Poems :D

My eyes beheld a sight so strange
That one queer afternoon
Lights of many colors
Floating in the room

My eyes widened in wonder I stood
And my stomach felt like to burst
You'd never believe it but,
I was standing there wanting to see it first

I ran forward with the speed of a car
My eyes set firmly ahead
Yet never I noticed the man in the way
And I ran into him instead

My eyes teared up as I watched them go
And soon in my tears did I swim
Twas quite a strange experience
    Even for a whim
So you see in my head was this all concocted
Merely a silly dream
Yet never in my life have I felt so queer
As I did in that one strange dream.
