a Niece for Christmas

Merry Christmas Eve Everyone!
By now some of you are probably thinking...yay Christmas it took forever, or maybe you're thinking that came fast.
For me I'm barely conscious of the fact that tomorrow is Christmas since we've beeeeeeen reeeeeeeeeeeeally crazy busy again...thought we were done with home stuff, I was wrong...we had the wood floor put in, a door and piece of wall ripped out and put back in reverse stairs taken out a and moved farther down,  (Long story involving a fridge), No internet for a few days and we still aren't done most likely the house won't be done till sometime late in January of 2014 (we've like up'ed the whole house!) I'm pining for normal...we haven't even decorated yet...we've had our Christmas tree since December first but it's been bare up to this very day....(we don't usually wait so long to decorate but all the remodeling...) I think mom just really wants to get this stuff done because before she was just doing 1 project a year...I had no idea we had so much stuff to be done!

Anyways you want to know what's with my title right? Well my first ever niece was expected on Christmas day....and she was born a week early (exactly a week early, like last Wednesday) Cutest, sweetest, most adorable, baby girl you've ever seen.....however that may just be because she's niece :) I won't be posting any pictures of her because her parents want her to be able to decide that on her own when she's a whooooooooooole lost older...she wouldn't want her whole life on the interenet I'm sure. So on here I'll refer to her as Cuddles because she's so cuddly :) cute baby..sorry new aunt here who's totally crazy about her niece (all of us are)

Soooooo on an unrelated note to kinda  get the feel for the coming Holiday we've been reading Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol" the first few nights I even made egg nog for it!

Here's the recipe if you want to make it

Egg Nog

Servings:
 5

Ingredients
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • Milk (enough to fill up the blender)
  • Nutmeg

First crack your eggs and put them in...than put your sugar, vanilla, and milk.....blend until nice and fluffy....

Serve with nutmeg sprinkled on top :)

Well that's it for now let me send you off with Peppermint Winter by Owl City and have a Merry Christmas!

God's Gifts to us the Undeserving

Dear Readers, Here we are Christmas just around the corner malls are packed with Christmas shoppers making their final rounds wrapping paper sprawled on the floor yes it's that time of year but in the midst of all this let's not forget the real reason for the season the true meaning of why we celebrate.

Gods Gifts to us the Undeserving
He melts our hearts of concrete stone
And give's us an eternal home
He steals away our endless fears
And wipes away all hopeless tears
And in its place he plants hope and joy
So we are no longer sins play toy.
                                   -Poem Girl

Thank you God for the gifts your give to us the undeserving
For our hope in hopeless situations
For our Joy in in the midst of sadness
And for giving us a solid foundation
Thank you Thank you.

Yours Truly

The First Snowfall of December

Dear Readers, Christmas is coming and snow is beginning to fall now some of you may know snow as the sludgy brownish white cold think that comes in December and stays until February freezing ice onto the window's of you car in short you may
know snow as the pest that takes forever to go away. Others may know snow as the glorious  beautiful white stuff that you can sled on and form it into things in short one big joy finally the third group the neutral people who both like snow and understand it can sometimes be a pest when you would like it to just sit and look pretty well I think you'll all enjoy this even snow dislikers might like to see hear this.

The First Snowfall of December
The first snowfall of December is quite a sight
The snowflakes that sparkle each one is unique
Created by God perfect complete!

The day after the snow has yet fallen is...
When we hop on our sleds and take of down hills
Flying past tree's and dodging my sisters
In that frosty white winters and those Icy chills
So here we go and what a thrill!

Coming in is no bother at all
Mom makes some hot chocolate
While we have a ball
Talking of  snow fights with a gigantic smile
As I mention A's super great throwing style!

Finally we get to shovel the driveway
Oh what a glorious look it'll have when we're done
and it's almost done now "continue" I say
We're almost finished now grab a shovel and ain't this fun?
The final scoop and it ways a ton!

The first snowfall is the beginning of...
The most heartwarming season
the season that love came down from above
in the shape of a baby to save us all and those are the reason's
Why winter is the most wonderful season!

Another Christmas Carol

Today is yet another christmas carol
my own and a carol from the Trans Siberian Orchestra
The Music Box so I do hope you'll enjoy
my Carols!

The Music Box
Remember last Christmas Eve
When we sat next to our first tree
Ornaments reflected light
Of a candle in the night

And I gave you a music box
Back then that seemed like so much
We watched it go round and round
As the melodies unwound

But all these things are now long gone
And not to be wished upon again

But the musical box continues to turn
The candle in the window continues to burn
But I know they're just memories
Like Christmas past and you and me

Remember that old fireplace
That held the room in warm embrace
And as we watched for Christmas ghosts
The fire held the shadows close

But now upon that Christmas scene
The candle wax of melted dreams
And ornaments of shattered glass
Now belonging to the past

But all these things are now long gone
And not to be wished upon again

But the musical box continues to turn
The candle in the window continues to burn
But I know they're just memories
Like Christmas past and you and me

Such A Sight
This night Christ was born
His palace was a stable
His throne was a manger
And there he was adorned
Such a sight was he
The savior of the world was a baby boy
Just how could this be
How could a baby deliver the world
God was fulfilling his plan even as his fingers curled
Such a sight was he
When the shepherds saw this wonderful sight
They bowed and worshiped it was only right
Later on he was to die to save you and me
Such a sight was he
As years passed the wise men came
They gave gifts of gold frankincense and myrrh
They also worshiped his holy name
Such a sight was he
Several more years past
And we were still so sinful
Christ died on the cross for he was the cure
When he drew his last breath
Was the time when we were counted white and pure
Before life was a blur
Such a sight was he
But that was not the end
for three days later
he raised from the grave
he was the cure and he was the hope of all nations
For Such A Sight Was He!

writing a Carol and for your
poetry Homework I'd like you to
write a Christmas carol too
please submit you Carol on post comment
and I'll choose the winning one and
post it on the blog.

Christmas Time
Christmas time oh Christmas time
I sing a song a Christmas rhyme
Christmas time oh Christmas time
A time when Jesus Christ was born a time when Jesus Christ was born
Oh Christmas time oh Christmas time
Oh Christmas time oh Christmas Time
No silver gold no nothing fine
Not on a throne was he lain but in a manger dull and plain
Christmas time Christmas time
Shepherds  were the first to see no nobles kings or Lords were seen
Christmas time Christmas time
Unto him is for whom I rhyme
Not to a King was he born but by a poor couple was he adorned
Christmas time Christmas time
Sinless still he did no wrong
so comes the end of my song
Christmas Time!
